
"State test" means any test that is provided by the department of Education for use in all participating schools in the state including the grades three to eight English language arts, mathematics and science tests, end-of-course high school tests, Ohio graduation tests, diagnostic tests, alternate assessments, English language proficiency assessment, kindergarten readiness assessment or early learning assessments.

Alternate Assessment
Ohio’s Alternate Assessment for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD) is aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards–Extended (OLS-E) and designed to allow students with significant cognitive disabilities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in an appropriately rigorous assessment.
Third Grade Guarantee
Ohio's Third Grade Reading Guarantee is a program to identify students from kindergarten through grade 3 that are behind in reading. Schools will provide help and support to make sure students are on track for reading success by the end of third grade
Graduation Requirements and exemptions
Ohio’s Pathways for a High School Diploma take effect with the class of 2018. These are students who are entering ninth grade for the first time in the 2014-2015 school year.
