"Your Students, My Students, Our Students" explores the hard truths of current special education practice and outlines five essential disruptions to the status quo. This book—written not for "special educators" or "general educators" but for all educators—shows you how to establish a school culture that champions equity and inclusion; rethink the long-standing structure of the least restrictive environment; leverage the strengths of all educators to provide appropriate support and challenge; collaborate on the delivery of instruction and intervention, and honor the aspirations of each student. This book study will provide an introduction session, a “self-paced” module with discussion questions and activities, two check-in sessions, and a wrap-up session where key take-aways and plans for the next steps will be shared.
4 session dates: March 29 and May 18, 2022 from 3:00-4:30 PM
April 18 and May 2, 2022 from 3:00-4:00 PM
Free books will be available with priority given to those registered at least two weeks before the initial session.
