This series is designed to help teachers of middle and high school students be more effective by being better prepared to teach reading and writing by understanding how students learn to read and comprehend text. The 2nd part of the series will cover how to better teach vocabulary and build background knowledge using the knowledge gleaned from studies done on the brain and how it learns. The 3rd part will cover grammar and writing using the same knowledge to be more effective.
This is a series of three sessions. Participants may attend any of the parts within the series.
