Throughout this book study, participants will 1) examine how personal attitudes, behavior, and support provided to students with autism impacts student success; 2) understand how trust, fear, and control can affect ways a child reacts to his environment; 3) explore strategies to support individuals with autism that build on strengths and gain greater social understanding; and finally, 4) reflect on personal growth and behavior changes as a result of learning. This book study is designed with one virtual face-to-face session via Zoom followed by an online self-paced learning course with discussions and activities in a professional learning community. You will need access to a device with internet connectivity to participate in the required virtual session. This course has the option of graduate credit or additional contact hours upon completion of the online assignments. The first 25 to register will receive the book at no charge!
