More Information

So many roles and responsibilities fall within the large scope (or umbrella!) of Special Education Services. Want to increase support for students exhibiting behaviors you’re not sure how to manage? Curious about confirming that your IEP practices are compliant and meaningful for students and families? Not quite sure how to best support transition-aged students? Join SST16 Consultants as we address questions that frequently arise in our work with districts and in our inboxes! These one-hour sessions will introduce strategies that are grounded in research and have practical classroom applications. Join for the whole series or drop in when you can. Sessions are duplicated on the same day to provide increased access and are appropriate for anyone who would like to learn more about each topic. Mini-presentations will offer relevant and compliant information while also leaving time for participants to ask questions of consultants and peers, and consider a direct application to their setting.

More Information

The Southeast Ohio Transition Council is a collaborative networking opportunity for professionals serving students with disabilities in the postsecondary transition process which begins by age 14. In addition to the networking opportunities, participants will receive updates and information about hot topics, ODE guidance, and research. The council is open to teachers, administrators, local businesses, agency service providers, parents, and more. The goal of the Council is to build the capacity of those working with transition-age students in order to ensure that each student is challenged, prepared, and empowered for his or her future.
