21 Birge Dr.

Chauncey, OH 45719

Room 122a, b

Description:  The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) is the world’s leading organization, advancing one of the most important fields in education in decades: the practice of promoting integrated academic, social, and emotional learning for all children in preschool through high school.
This professional development will focus on an introduction to the Five Core SEL Competencies and why they are essential to high quality education; exploration of the theory of action for implementing SEL in districts and schools; impact of Adult SEL Competencies and how to cultivate them with district and school staff, parents, and community members; integration of SEL with Key District Initiatives; and more.
For those interested in implementing a SEL framework, an additional professional development will focus on how educators, families, and communities partner to promote students’ social, emotional, and academic learning.
